Beauty | MUA & Martini's Event with Samoan Joes

Samoan Joes

What better way to get ready for a night out than with a glass of bubbly and having your make-up done! Samoan Joes is one of my favourite places to go out for drinks on a night out in Coventry. They've always got some sort of different event on along with great music and buzzing environment on every night out!

So of course, make-up and martini's in my favourite place was definitely something I didn't want to miss out on! I had my make-up done by the lovely Riarna who you can follow on Instagram here. She did such an incredible job of doing my make-up! I adored how she had created her own eye look that day and said could I have something similar as I always go for simplistic make-up and wanted something rather bold for a change! I have so many palette's at home and need to experiment more, so this inspired me to use my pallette's more - especially my Morphe Jaclyn Hill palette I got for my birthday!

If your from the Coventry/Brimingham area and are looking for somewhere different for a night out that always has awesome events on, definitely check out Samoan Joes Tiki Bar - I'm there most Saturday's I love the place that much! They also have amazing cocktails too - read that blog post here. Pornstar Martini is my all time favourite! But definitely try out Rude Jude in the strawberry cup! Such quirky tropical vibes with all their cocktails!

Lifestyle | What Happened In July

Isobel Celine

Wow...we're in September and I'm writing what happened in July! Well, hasn't time just flown by! I wish I had more time to just sit and write some times, but work and looking after a house and my poorly pooch had to come first over the last few weeks! Plus I've been taking some time out so I could spend more time with my family. Me and Adam also had a weekend away in September to spend some time out and also to spend time with my grandparents. So, that's us caught up on where I've been! let's get on to what happened in July!

July started off with having my brother and his girlfriend over for taco's during the world cup was on. It was lovely to have them over and to finally eat some delicious tacos! I've been loving spending time with family, as time is precious and so is family time, so I make the most of the time I get with family as much as possible. As you never know what can happen.

The second week of July, myself, Adam, my Dad and a few work mates went down to Enstone Airfield to have a go at flying a plane for the afternoon! It was a brilliant afternoon, for everyone else hahaa! If you watch my vlog from the day here, you'll completely understand why I didn't enjoy it as much as everyone else!

The following week was my 21st Birthday! And wow did that go off with a bang! I basically celebrated for about a week? One day was at work and my Dad covered my office in balloons and people got me cards and presents which was so sweet! The next I spent the day with my Mum opening presents and going shopping, then a meal at my favourite place, The Farmhouse with my Dad, then the weekend of my 21st Birthday, me, Adam, Stacie and Sophie went down to London for the weekend and honestly had THE best weekend! It was such a lovely weekend! You can watch my 21st Birthday Vlog here and What I Got For My 21st Birthday Haul here.

The next weekend I drove up to Skegness with my Dad (still a learner at this stage - passed my test in August! Wait until What Happened In August and I'll talk about that in more depth!) so I was quite proud of driving all that way apart from the motorways my Dad drove those parts, but other than that I did quite well if I do say so myself!

Near the final weeks of July, it was my Mum's Birthday, so myself and older brother treated her and the family to a lovely Indian at The Farmhouse (of course), which she really loved! Myself and Adam in the same week went down to Memorial Park and had a nice tray of chips and took some pictures in the beautiful sunshine and boiling heatwave that was happening at the time! We also had a lovely meal at Marco Pierre White Steakhouse in Birmingham with Adam, Brogan and Mason, we all got very drunk on this night hahaa! You can watch that vlog here.

That concludes what happened in July! See you in August's post - even if we are in September!

Lifestyle | Light Bites Chips Review

Light Bites

Are you on a gluten free diet, have Coelliac disease or just like to cut gluten out of your diet anyway? Well, even if you just like trying new things that are super healthy and low in calories, these snazzy crisps and bars from Lights Bites are definitely worth a try! Read on if you'd like to know more...

I first tried these chips at the BlogConLDN event a few months back and thought they were quite alright! So when I was sent out all the different flavours to try as well as chocolate cookie caramel flavour bars! *HEART EYE EMOJI* I love anything that has caramel in it - just SO good! So I tried this bar out and it was rather chewy, not too much chocolate in it and feel like it needed to be slightly sweeter - maybe that's just me as I have a sweet tooth at times! Definitely a nice little snack to keep in your handbag for when your peckish! You can buy these bars at your local Superdrug. Read more here.

Light Bites

Let's start with how the flavours were, I had 4 different flavours to try out. The first one I tried sounded intriguing and tasty, it was Sweet and Smokey Chipotle which had a strange taste in all honestly, it was like a bland salami kind of flavour, but it had quite a lot of flavouring on it which made it slightly better. Definitely could do with a bit of salt thrown into flavour it up some more!

Roasted Shallot and Cider Vinegar was very much like salt and vinegar without the salt hahaa! I wasn't a fan of this due to how sour it was with the vinegar flavour, as I don't like vinegar unless it's on chip shop chips! Can anyone else related to this? Just me? But yes, this flavour isn't for me, but better for someone who likes salt and vinegar crisps!

Pesto and Sundried Tomato was my actual favourite out of all the flavours! As this flavour tasted like spaghetti bolognese! And that's a dish I LOVE! So this is a firm favourite you guys should definitely try out! By the way, these packets only retail to 99p in Superdrug and they're all under 100 calories - bonus if your watching your calories or just want to eat healthier!

Cheddar Cheese and Chutney was the first flavour I tried at the BlogConLDN event and this was actually full of cheesey flavours! So this flavour was quite alright but not my most favourite taste next to the pesto and sundried tomato!

Light Bites

In all honesty, me being a salt addict, it was lacking in salt and so was all the other flavours. They are more for someone who is on a gluten free diet, or has coelliac or best for someone who gets bloated easily - I get bloated easily but these just don't do it for me due to the lack in flavour. They're a good on the go snack, especially if your on a diet! So they are super healthy to have as they're made out of soya and chickpea! So no potatoes involved! Definitely recommend if your vegan or vegetarian, on a diet or just want healthier snacks!

Into conclusion, out of the entire flavours, the only one I'd buy again would have to be Pesto and Sundried Tomato - firm favourite! Honestly give them a try!

You can buy the Light Bites crisps in any Superdrug store and online below:

Fashion | Autumn Is Fast Approaching...

Charlecote Park

Autumn is definitely fast approaching, but I'm not complaining as Autumn is my favourite season of the year! As I love wearing autumnal colours, knitwear, over the knee boots and best of all coats! I honestly have the biggest coat collection! So I love the colder months as I get to wear all my lovely coats! I love walking through the wilderness with my wellies, listening to the crisp brown, red and golden leaves under my feet as I step on them, kicking the leaves into the air is something I adore doing so much!

These photos were taken at a lovely park called Charlecote Park in Warwickshire. It has such beautiful grounds with stunning architecture, gorgeous deer which a lot of the babies looked like Bambi's! So cute! Me and Adam got super close to them even though I was quite anxious a first that they were going to run at us, but they were so calm and walked across us a fair distance ahead of us - managed to get a snap of them too!

As for my outfit, this cute little checkered number was a £13 bargain from Primark that I will surely live in over the Autumn period in many different ways. This style with the jump, belt and boots give such an on trend, warm and autumnal vibe that's great for any occasion from days out to the office but with little black boots or nude satin boots which I do wear to the office! My little blue bag is a firm favourite I've had for a while from Zaful and is a go to and has been for well over a year as it fits honestly everything that I need in it! I think navy blue is going to end up being my new favourite colour throughout autumn that's for sure!

I honestly love the preppy vibes from this outfit, as it gives such different vibes, from classy ti chic and college casual to office ready! Perfect outfit for autumn!

Fashion | The Little Things In Life With Jewellery Box

Jewellery Box

It's honestly the most simple things in life that make me happy. Walks down the canal with my dog, picking blackberries for a neighbour, or even making someone smile. The simple things in life are the best.

Jewellery Box
Jewellery Box

Speaking of simple things, dainty simplistic jewellery is something I've grown towards more and more in my personal style this year. This is where Jewellery Box comes in and creates such affordable, simplistically beautiful pieces you can wear around the clock!

I love personalised jewellery items like the little bracelet I'm wearing above that actually has an 'I' engraved on the silver circle. The bracelet itself fits my wrist so well, as this is something I struggle with, with bracelets or watches on my wrist as they never seem to fit, except this one! Perfect little piece to add to my Jewellery Box - trinket dish shaped as a unicorn shall I say! They are only £6.15 as well, so super cheap including the engravement! Buy bracelet here.

I'm wearing some very classy pearl drop earrings from Jewellery Box, which I've been loving wearing to the office to add a classy dainty touch to my outfit. They're such a bargain as well for £9.45 being sterling silver and a crystal stud. Buy your pair here.

How adorable is this little polka dot crop top though?! I've worn this a fair few times whilst the heat wave was here. It's such a nice fit and you can adjust the ties to however you want it to fit too!

My only denim shorts that I lived in during the heat of summer months. I love to wear my Gucci belt with anything and everything I can in my wardrobe. I just love it so much and its such a timeless piece I'll keep forever.

What little things in life do you love?

Beauty | The Body Shop Event - Banana Heaven

The Body Shop - Banana Range

I've never really tried any products from The Body Shop before, apart from a lip balm a few years ago. Bit I recently tried a sample of their new 15 second body yogurt in Strawberry that I got from Summer In The City event.

So, let's get to the point of this blog post. I was invited down to my local The Body Shop store in Coventry for the launch of their new ranges that involved the new Banana range (insert the heart eye emoji here!) that features the super fast absorbing 15 second drying Banana Body Yogurt, Banana Body Butter and the Banana Shower Cream. I am honestly obsessed with all things banana smell anyway, so this was so amazing to try out and have a sniff of! Not to mention a hand massage by the lovely staff there!

The Body Shop - Banana Range

The event started off with browsing what they had in store and mingling with the bloggers! Saffron from PixieBowUk, Emily from Drained Beauty, Paige from The Last Paige, Gemma from Just Gem, and I met a few other girls too; Teo from The Blonde Waves, Maryam from Dedat Missy Beauty and Natalee from There Might Be Coffee. It was such a cute event and to socialise with the bloggers again!

The banana range was my favourite, as you can tell by the image of me posing with my new favourite product from The Body Shop. The lovely ladies explained to us all about each product from the range, the fact that they are all vegan - apart from the Banana Body Butter which is just vegetarian. The fact of where they get their bananas from a small business - I'm all for supporting smaller business. So I was happy to hear this. Alongside a lovely hand massage from the staff, they were very informative and made me want to buy the products even more!

The Body Shop - Banana Range

They have a Mango range which I also adore the smell of! The scents in the range are so strong! I was kindly given a few samples to try out from The Body Shop and I tried the Banana Yogurt first and OMG I loved the smell of it that much I wanted to eat it - don't do this...I made a Banana milkshake I was craving it so much! The fact is, the smell isn't even over powering! The banana products honestly smells like those banana foam sweets I used to have as a kid! Such a lovely sweet smell!

I decided to take over at the event and use everything I could to create a good photo! I thoroughly enjoyed myself even though I couldn't stay for the full event. The staff were lovely and they have so many different products to chose from for all your skincare, make-up, hair care and lips care needs! Get yourself to your local 'The Body Shop' and try the new family ranges - banana one for sure!

The Body Shop - Banana Range

Thanks for reading! And a special thanks to Coventry Bloggers and The Body Shop for inviting me to such a lovely event!

Lifestyle | Bloated? Look No Further...

Live Bacteria Capsules. Ever heard of anything like this? Neither did I until I spoke to the lovely Linda Booth from Just For Tummies at the BlogConLDN event, who specialises in stomach issues. Especially when it comes to Coelliac disease, IBS, bloating etc.

I was tested for coelliac disease due to me having such bad bloating in my stomach after or during eating foods that were including gluten and mainly carbohydrates. Thankfully it came back negative, but nothing seems to have helped calm the bloating - and that's where these capsules come in!

The Live Bacteria capsules are to be taken 1 or 2 times a day before food. The first few days I was taking them (may be TMI but I'm always honest when it comes to reviews), I needed to go to the toilet on several occassions within the first 3 days of taking 1 a day. I was still bloated but was explained by Linda it was normal for the first couple of weeks as the live bacteria capsules were helping to clear out my system (explaining the many trips to the ladies!).

Linda has a Facebook page where you can openly discuss about any tummy issues and about all the different capsules she sells. So if you do buy any, do join the page, as it's very supportive and informative when it comes to this process.

After me taking the capsules for over a week, my stomach settled down and I was still getting bloated, but not as bad as it normally was. I was mainly getting trapped wind, which cleared itself as the day went on...

I've been taking the capsules for a good month and a half, but stopped for a while to see how my stomach would react, I'm getting the bad bloating back, so I can see how much of a difference the capsules have made within my bloating. So I am definitely going to carry on using them! As they certainly cleared my system out at the start!

I would recommend using these capsules if you suffer from bloating after/during eating. But if you need any advice, message Linda Booth on her 'Tummy Talk' Facebook group or message her on Instagram - she's honestly a great help!

She also has a wide range of different capsules for different stomach problems such as, Digestive Enzymes, Charcoal, Milk Thistle, Fibre, Garlic, Omega 3 etc. Check out her website here to see what else they have on offer as well as tea bags too! It's not just Linda behind the scenes either! She works along side her husband who is also a brilliant person full of information and help! They were SO lovely to talk to at the event also!

*These capsules were gifted to me from Just For Tummies, but all opinions and bloatedness were all my own*

Travel | 12 Hours In Barcelona

12 Hours In Barcelona

I sure as hell was not expecting Barcelona to be such a big city! Guess who didn't do their research and completely winged it whilst we were there? Clearly this girl, who normally is super organised and knows where we need to be for whatever time...Anyway, so me and Adam went down to Barcelona for the day from Santa Susanna during our holiday back in May in Costa Brava. We took the train from Santa Susanna to Barcelona Central Station but got off a few stops before as our first destination was the closest to that station.

12 Hours In Barcelona

Sagrada Familia

Our first stop of the day. This glorious beauty of a historical place was so stunning and unusual to photograph, it just looked so unique in photos and in person. I was so happy to trek 20 minutes to this place to capture the stunning architecture! Minus the tall cranes, as you can see in the above picture - one of my favourites!

12 Hours In Barcelona
12 Hours In Barcelona

Park Guell

This was such a trek from Sagrada Familia. We had a pit stop for ice cream that cost 11 euros!! Ridiculous but we needed it in the heat! Park Guell was lovely to stroll round, especially worth trekking right to the top for the gorgeous views over Barcelona city! There is an area that is covered in mosaic designs which I was pretty gutted we couldn't go in and see a bit closer, but the next slot time was at 5:30 and it was about 12pm when we got to Park Guell, so it's good to do research guys and pre-book your tickets that's for sure! It was such an unusual and beautiful park, a must see on your locations list for visiting Barcelona!

12 Hours In Barcelona

Casa Mila

The structure of this building (above) was so unusual! I thought there was more to it, you could go in but we weren't interested. Worth a look though if your into architecture & museums! It makes me wonder how they designed this building and how they managed to build it, as I'm sure it must of been hard to create the waves in the brick work!

12 Hours In Barcelona
12 Hours In Barcelona

Camp Nou

Adam was very happy when we got to the Barcelona football grounds! The shop was MASSIVE! I'm not even a football fan and even I enjoyed visiting this place! Definitely worth going to visit - as there's also a Primark a 20 minute walk away that I of course had to go and find! How could I not though? Each Primark has different items in each store! You can have a tour of the official football grounds but it's over £100 so count me out of that as cool as that would be!

That concludes our 12 hours in Barcelona! Have you been to Barcelona? Where's your favourite spots to visit in Barcelona?

Thanks for reading!

Fashion | Summer Pinks

Coventry Cathedral

Let's start this post off with how gorgeous the location this was shot in! My home town of Coventry around the Coventry Cathedral is such a lovely place to shoot pictures! Especially this lovely house! I couldn't help but shoot here and around the Cathedral! My look for this day was rather cute with the baby pink vibes!

Coventry Cathedral
Coventry Cathedral
Coventry Cathedral

I honestly adored this cute little tie knot off the shoulder baby pink number! I've worn it a few times since it arrived! The material is so light a floaty, perfect for the summer heatwave! I honestly got to that point in the heatwave where I wanted rain, but when it rained, my gosh did it pore...then I was just like "BRING ME THE SUN BACK!" Typical English thing to say hey! So most importantly, I was very cool and summery in this little outfit. My Gucci belt is in fact fake, but on my 21st Birthday, I actually bought myself the real deal for £320! Yes I went that far and treated myself - why not? It was my biggest birthday yet being 21 and all! This belt Adam kindly bought me! Unfortunately I don't have the dupe website link! But if I find a dupe then I will leave it linked for you all!

Coventry Cathedral
Coventry Cathedral

I love how my bag has super Gucci vibes too! Little bargain from Primark of course! I've been wearing this a lot lately, especially with light coloured dresses or white dresses. It just gives that classy girly vibe to the outfit. My denim shorts are actually from Topshop last year. I first saw them on Sarah Ashcroft and wanted them instantly even if they were £36, I actually bought them! I'll tell you what shop I have been loving lately though, River Island have had some GORGEOUS pieces lately and in the bag section I have fallen in love! I've recently bought a new bag and purse from there! Expensive, but definitely worth it for the quality of the items sold there! I feel a shopping spree being brought on...but my wardrobe honestly won't be able to breathe at this rate with all the clothes in there! Oops...

Coventry Cathedral

How cute is this hat though?! I have one in black and now this cute £3 H&M bargain of a hat in my collection and it first so perfect! I've linked one extremely similar if you wanted to also get your hands on one too! As well as the wedges, due to them being brought from New Look quite a few years ago, I've linked similar for you there too if you were looking for a super cute tanned pair for under £20! I might go and order a new pair for myself yet!
